Karla Carter is a self-taught filmmaker, writer, and feminist based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. She originally hails from the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky, where rebellion and the macabre are a way of life and woven throughout everything that she makes. She is an alumni of nowhere in particular, bringing lived experiences, strange encounters, and odd real life characters that she has met throughout her adventures to her stories. She hopes to one day be remembered as a prolific filmmaker and writer despite getting a late start to her career, and inspire others to chase their dreams with everything they got.
